Krokidas & Bluestein Partner, Vincent Pisegna, Appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court as Chair of the Board of Bar Overseers

Volunteer entity oversees and regulates conduct of attorneys throughout Massachusetts

(BOSTON, MA) – Vincent Pisegna, a partner at Boston-based law firm Krokidas & Bluestein LLP has been appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court as Chair of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers (BBO).  Pisegna has been a member and Vice-Chair of the BBO during the past three years, and has served on various committees with the organization prior to being appointed Chair.

The Board of Bar Overseers is an independent administrative body that investigates, evaluates and adjudicates complaints against attorneys in Massachusetts. Established in 1974 by the Supreme Judicial Court, it consists of twelve members who are appointed by the Court for four-year terms.

“Being appointed Chair of this important organization is an honor which comes with tremendous responsibility to the Court, the bar, and, most importantly, the public.” said Pisegna. “The Board of Bar Overseers plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of legal proceedings in the Commonwealth, and I intend to continue to support and strengthen our state’s legal system in this new leadership role.”

Pisegna is Krokidas & Bluestein’s senior trial counsel and head of its litigation practice. He has over thirty-five years’ experience in litigating and resolving a wide range of business and real estate disputes including cases involving commercial property development and management, land use, bankruptcy, employment, intellectual property, probate, health care, and partnership and corporate disputes.

In addition to his affiliation with the BBO, Vince has published numerous litigation-related articles in trade publications including Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, and is the co-author of The Litigators’ Blog, a blog focused on the latest developments in the field of litigation.

Vince has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in litigation by Thomson Reuters and Boston Magazine every year since 2006.
