Local attorney elected President-Elect of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers

(BOSTON, MA) November 20, 2014 – Boston-based law firm Krokidas & Bluestein announced today that Partner Kathryn Cochrane Murphy has been elected President-Elect of  the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), the premier organization of real estate lawyers in the United States. As President-Elect, Ms. Murphy will succeed to the office of President in January 2016. ACREL Fellows are elected to the organization based on their outstanding legal abilities, experience, and professional and ethical conduct.

Ms. Murphy has been an ACREL Fellow since 1993. She previously held the offices of Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President, and will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Governors and Executive Committee. Over the years, Ms. Murphy has led and participated in numerous ACREL programs and committees. .

In 2014, she was included in the Best Lawyers in America list by U.S. News & World Report for her contributions to real estate law, and has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer and in Who’s Who Legal.
