Emily Kretchmer

Emily Kretchmer joined Krokidas & Bluestein in 2011. She concentrates her practice in the areas of health care, non-profit, administrative and corporate law.

Emily represents teaching and community hospitals, long term care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, community health centers, behavioral health providers, hospices, visiting nurse associations, assisted living residences, CCRCs, community-based human service organizations, private special education schools, physicians, and allied health professionals in transactional matter such as mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, tax-exempt bond financings and contracts, as well as corporate compliance and legislative and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Emily worked as an associate at Pierce & Mandell, P.C. in the health care practice She also served as a law clerk for the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, Division of Insurance, and MassHealth Legal Office.

Emily has written and lectured on corporate compliance, Medicare payment, HIPAA, and health care transactions for several professional and trade organizations, including Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Lorman Educational Services and the Massachusetts Medical Law Review. Emily is also the co-author of the chapter on physicians in the 2008 edition of the Massachusetts Health and Hospital Law Manual issued by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education.

Emily has also been listed as a “Rising Star” in the practice of Health Care Law in Boston Magazine’s New England Super Lawyers.

Emily is a 2001 graduate of Tufts University and a 2006 cum laude graduate of Suffolk University School of Law where she also obtained a concentration with distinction in Health and Biomedical Law.
